Texas bishops offer prayers and support for flood victims
The bishops of Texas join our Holy Father, Pope Leo XIV, in praying for all who have lost loved ones, especially young children, in the flooding affecting 20 counties in Texas since July 4. We ask you to also join us in praying for the first responders and others engaged in search and rescue operations, as well as the communities devastated by the flooding.
God of compassion, you are our refuge and our strength, our sure rock in the midst of any storm, the light which pierces every darkness, and an anchor of hope for those who contend with despair. Reach out your hand to all those who feel too weary to carry on. May they receive that courage, resilience, and healing grace that can only come from you.
