Bishops plea for stay of execution for Robert Pruett
The Texas Catholic Conference of Bishops has written both Governor Greg Abbott and the Texas Board of Pardon and Parole to stay the execution of Robert Pruett, scheduled for this evening. The scheduled execution comes only a day after Pope Francis explicitly stated the death penalty is “contrary to the Gospel.”
